Recently we have represented a client in a divorce case. When the client came to us, great depression and struggle have been shown towards the confirmation and separate of the personal property and their marital property. The reason is that their joint operation of the business had been existing since before the marriage under the defendant’s name. After the marriage, the clients changed to work in the back stage. Therefore, the client was not absolutely sure about the properties the defendant had. Meanwhile, after the dispute occurred, the defendant has transferred some assets, as well.

Therefore, we analyzed the case and organized the marriage properties and personal properties that might be relevant to this case, and clarified the division and applied for the court to investigate the defendant’s assets. In the meantime, considering the actual operation of the business and the actual will of the client, we have enforced the strategy of “ door in the face”, and showed our good faith during the trial, which helped avoiding the conflicts between the clients that would normally occur in divorce cases and built a firm foundation for fighting for the client’s biggest interest.
