Recently we represented several oversea clients in a Romance Scam case.  In this kind of case, the victims have been tempted by beautiful young girls online. The girls pretended to fall in love with the victims and made them to invest on fictitious cybermoney. In the fictitious system controlled by the scam group, the investors had lots of profits in accounts. However when the victims tried to withdraw the real money, the system requested the victims to pay more in the name of income tax.

We, based on the evidence supplied by the victims, successfully located the scammers, prepared enough evidence and reported to the local police. The local police paid lots of attention to this case because it is a typical case in which a lot of foreigners have been cheated.

This case will go through criminal procedure and we will keep following til the end.
