We represented client in an office lease litigation in Shanghai court.
Our client is tenant and plaintiff. The main argument is about whether the lease contract expired or not. According to the contract, the lease contract can only be terminated with 3 month's advance notice before expiry. However the tenant failed to do or prove the advance notification.
In the hearing we had a thorough discussion with the judge and finally the judge rendered the judgment in our favor. Furthermore the judge judged that relevant agreement is cancelled and has no legal effect.
